I finally got around to doing a small task I had been putting off, and that was sorting out all my lines/sheets. Onboard, I carry five major lines, the ones with rubber shock absorbers at one end, and I use these for stern, mid, bow lines, and bow and stern springers, when alongside a jetty. Taking up space were many unused lines of various lengths, of which I sorted out, taking many off the boat and leaving a couple of varying sizes onboard. I still have not yet used the extra lines, but they are there in case of an emergency.
